About Mat
Over 20 years experience working with Western Australia's finest athletes.
After achieving his PhD in 2006 from The University of Western Australia, Mat worked as a Sports Biomechanist at the Western Australian Institute of Sport until the end of 2020.
During this time he gained extensive experience across a multitude of sports, specialising in Rowing and Kayaking high performance.
Across 5 Olympic cycles, he has worked with numerous Olympic and World Championship rowing and kayaking athletes, and is currently the consultant Biomechanist to the Australian Womens Rowing team.
He also has over 15 years experience as a rowing coach at several of Perths PSA and IGSSA schools and rowing clubs.
Mat resides in Perth, Western Australia with his wife, Courtney and young daughter, Adalind.
